Diana O. Rasche's clients include: magazines & textbook publishers,
architectural firms, food businesses, high tech companies, web designers,
chemical manufacturers, furniture & jewelry makers, and craft product
companies. Her work is seen in magazines, brochures, textbooks,
ads, point-of-purchase displays, packaging, greeting cards, annual
reports, and web sites.
Diana 's commercial experience encompasses many kinds of jobs,
from location assignments to studio food shots. She gets the job
accomplished with the proper tools and the eye of a skilled artist.
She finds out the priorities of her clients first and works within
those parameters to get the best results within the budget. Diana
determines the best scheduling of the shots needed, and plans the
type of equipment/materials needed to make the shots work. Location, business or corporate portraits for annual reports, web sites, and other promotional pieces is another of Diana's stregths. She knows how to pose adults for the most flattering result, and one which will emit a feeling of professionalism in her subjects.
Diana likes location work because it combines her abilities as
a studio lighting photographer with that of an available light lover.
If desired she blends natural lighting and studio lights. She works
well with people on site without disturbing the flow of the business
and understands proper protocol within the factory, hospital or
office.
When a job is too complex for one person, Diana taps into her list
of competent and able assistants. She has a variety of individuals
who she calls upon, depending on the type of job and the assistant's
expertise. Because of the diverse nature of commercial and corporate location photography, the shooting fees vary. Please call Diana for a job based on 1/2 of full day rates.
For table top work Diana uses her creative lighting to enhance
the products and her eye for composition to arrange the products
& props for the best effect. She knows when collaboration between
her and the art director or client is the best approach and when
to carry out the specific layout ideas of her client.
Diana likes tabletop work because of her ability to transform the
products into simple design elements. She determines the best background
or surface for shooting, and builds the shot from there, sometimes
acting as art director for the project and choosing props, feel,
texture and theme. Her flair not only with the photographic elements
but with propping, shows in the success of her work. She enjoys
finding just the right object to enhance the product that she is
shooting. Her knowledge of special effects like smoke, fog, and
other 'tricks' of the trade, makes the images unique and anything
but commonplace.
